Michelin Sommelier Award for Ivana Capraro

The Michelin Guide Sommelier Award honours personalities who not only know wine professionally, but also embody it with passion, creativity and heart. Ivana is one of these outstanding experts and has been a cornerstone of our philosophy of enjoyment at the Castel for many years.

On 19 November 2025, she was presented with the award at the Guida Michelin Italia 2026 ceremony at the Teatro Regio in Parma. Host Daniel Dobitsch was able to accompany his sommelier on this special day.

"I see wine as a language - and every bottle tells a story," says Ivana about her work. "For me, this award is above all confirmation that I can touch and inspire people with my passion."

At the same time, Ivana works closely with the service team: she works hand in hand with long-standing maître d' Simon Oberhofer in particular to ensure that every guest enjoys a thoroughly successful experience.
