May 2024 - a Castel story from the Dobitsch family
Time to savour
The cuisine at the Castel - according to our guests and many awards - is exceptionally good, very varied, seasonal and uses only the best products from the immediate region and the Mediterranean.
Breakfast
Finally time for the most important meal!
Although breakfast is often described as the most important meal of the day, there is often little time for it in stressful everyday life. So it's all the better to finally welcome the morning on holiday with a hearty and enjoyable breakfast! With a wide variety of dishes and drinks, always freshly prepared or re-cut, our breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired.
Thanks to the large glass façade and the glass roof in the hotel restaurant, the day starts with plenty of light and a fantastic view of nature. In the warmer months, our large terrace invites you to celebrate breakfast under the South Tyrolean sky and plan your day.
During the day
In between as the mood takes you
During the day, the lounge terrace invites you to enjoy a cool drink, a good espresso or a small snack. Whether for a break from sunbathing by the pool, after returning from a hike or e-bike tour or simply to let your gaze wander over the landscape, the lounge terrace is enchanting - even after dinner with a view of the city lights!
Evening
Variety served à la carte
The culinary finale of the day takes place in the ÀlaCarte restaurant. Here, the glass façade and roof can be fully opened when the weather permits - for double the enjoyment under the stars. And the name says it all: As part of the half-board package, you can choose from up to 14 different à la carte dishes that change daily.
The fresh, Alpine-Mediterranean dishes are prepared by 2-star chef Gerhard Wieser and his 16-strong team - it is not for nothing that the hotel kitchen has been recognised as the best in the country by Falstaff and the Castel has been named the best gourmet hotel in South Tyrol four times in a row by the Connoisseur Circle Community.
