July 2026 – a Castel story by the Dobitsch family
Meeting place
25 years – people who stay

A place like the Castel thrives not on concrete, glass or high-quality materials, but on relationships. On the people who stay. On those who breathe life into it and, over the years, help transform a hotel into a place people long to visit.
Continuity does not arise from structures. It arises from people.
For us as a host family, people have always been at the heart of what we do – guests as well as staff. A great establishment is created where people enjoy working and visitors can sense this attitude.
Many team members have been with us for years, some for decades. They have grown alongside the hotel, helped drive developments and shaped changes. They give the Castel a familiar feel and create an atmosphere that is genuine, not staged. Continuity is evident here in passion, commitment and mutual trust.
Our relationship with our guests has also grown over the years. Many return, not because everything has stayed the same, but because they can rely on quality, attentive service and a personal touch. Encounters have turned into conversations, conversations into familiarity, and stays into lasting relationships – some of which have lasted for 25 years.

Our approach as hosts plays a particularly important role in this. Decisions are made collectively, and responsibility is shared. This sense of closeness builds trust, both internally and externally, and shapes the way we interact within the team as well as our interactions with guests.
Over the years, this has given rise to a structure that is more than the sum of its parts: a collaboration of people who share a common understanding of hospitality, quality and responsibility. It is wonderful to see this network growing and so many new guests appreciating it. It has never been down to individuals alone that has sustained this journey. It has always been people – working together.
Sometimes, a familiar face is all it takes
A good 60 dedicated and warm-hearted staff members look after and support us at the Castel. They ensure that our guests want for nothing. Some of them have been with us since day one.
