Ferragosto - highlight of the summer

At the beginning of summer, we like to think of the highlight: Ferragosto. The time around this day, 15 August, is sacred in Italy not only because of the holiday (Assumption of Mary), but also because it is the most beautiful time of summer for Italians.

This also applies to Merano. The weather is particularly stable. The days are pleasantly warm and can be spent in a variety of ways - whether active in nature, exploring the cities or relaxing by the pool.

As the nights are a little longer again, you can watch the most beautiful sunsets from our terrace during dinner. Later, you can enjoy the twinkling stars and the city lights over a drink on the lounge terrace.

On Ferragosto we celebrate summer, we celebrate life and we celebrate Italy. In keeping with this, we invite our guests to our beautiful park in front of the hotel.

We transform it into a garden restaurant with a 180° view over Merano. Long white tablecloths blow in the wind and the fairy lights between the palm trees create a wonderful atmosphere.

The entire evening will be musically framed by Günther Sanin, who will perform well-known classics with his ensemble in an atmospheric and first-class manner.

Our chefs serve Italian delicacies at various stations and you can watch them being prepared LIVE.

Delicious antipasti, homemade pasta, the best fish and seafood and excellent Fiorentina steaks are just as much a part of the menu as pizza (the best, by the way!). But that's not all. There are also selected suppliers with great products.

Finally, our patissiers led by Simon Unterholzner await guests with a buffet by the glowing pool. There are many Italian dessert classics, the best homemade ice cream, summery fruit and, as a highlight, some ice cream cakes - almost too good to eat.
