Because time, along with health and love, is the most precious thing in life, we are focussing on it this season. The seasons are an important facet of time, as they set the rhythm. Autumn is special, grounding and calming in preparation for winter. For us at the Castel, it is also the last third of our season. For many of our guests, it is always worth a visit because of the mild climate, the beautiful colours and the good autumn cuisine.

In South Tyrol, summertime doesn't seem to want to end. Now nature shows what it can do once again: Sun-drenched days, soft light, warm colours and romantic atmospheres entice you out into the open once again, touching your eyes, palate and heart right into autumn.

South Tyrol is known far beyond its borders for its "Törggelen" season. Where chestnuts and wine grow, farmers open the parlours of their farms and taverns from October to the end of November.

Schlutzkrapfen, dumplings, sour meat and sausages with sauerkraut, roasted chestnuts and the new wine are served. Autumn delicacies in abundance - there is something for every taste!

In the golden season, Gerhard Wieser creates autumnal culinary delights. Inspired by the rich bounty of the season, such as pumpkin, game and mushrooms, our 2-star chef combines fresh, regional ingredients with subtle flavours.

His dishes reflect the colour palette of autumn, with a balance of strong, earthy tones and, as always, prepared in a particularly light and refined way.
