June 2025
The power of great precision and deep passion.

Even though we live in Italy - a country with a great sparkling wine tradition, from Franciacorta to Trentodoc - champagne remains a symbol of history, prestige and masterful craftsmanship. It stands not only for sparkling pleasure, but also for centuries of knowledge, for a country that has elevated the Méthode Champenoise to an art form.
Champagne is a proud symbol of the region of the same name, characterised by special soils, a cool climate and great passion.
Wine was already being produced there in Roman times, but the champagne we know today only developed in the 17th and 18th centuries. Initially regarded as a mistake, the second fermentation became the basis of a new style of wine thanks to monks such as Dom Pérignon. Today, the name "Champagne" stands for luxury worldwide and is legally protected by the AOC.
The champagne house Pierre Gimonnet & Fils embodies this heritage particularly impressively with its Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuis 1er Cru.

The wine
Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuis 1er Cru
"Pure Chardonnay finesse - subtle, elegant, pure."

The Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuis 1er Cru comes from the Côte des Blancs - the heart of Chardonnay in Champagne. The grapes come exclusively from the Premier Cru vineyards around the village of Cuis, a terroir prised for its fine minerality.
Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine is wonderfully balanced with a dosage of 6 g/l - fresh, precise and elegant. To preserve the clear style and purity, vinification takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks.
Each parcel is vinified separately before the wine matures on the lees for at least 24 to 30 months - a meticulous process that allows the finesse and depth of this champagne to fully develop.

Grape variety:
100 % Chardonnay
Colour:
Golden yellow, bright and brilliant
On the nose:
Aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, chalk and brioche
Palate:
Creamy foam, mineral, lively, with a long, salty finish
Pairing:
Perfect as an aperitif, with oysters or fine fish, but also simply to celebrate a special moment.
Salute!
Why do I recommend this champagne?
